In many West African traditions—particularly Yoruba cosmology—there is a word that holds immense power. A word that’s more than just sound. It’s breath. It’s force. It’s vibration. That word is Aṣẹ (pronounced “ah-shay”).
Aṣẹ is the life force behind creation. It is the energy that makes manifestation possible, the power behind intention, and the divine authority we each carry within. But what happens when we begin to look at Aṣẹ not just through a spiritual lens—but through a scientific one?
