Some books are written to teach.
Some books are written to entertain.
Reclaiming the Unspoken was written to free me.
This book was born in the dark.
Not the kind of dark you escape from—but the kind you have to sit in long enough to find the truth.
How It All Started
When I first put pen to paper, I wasn’t thinking about readers. I wasn’t thinking about book deals or publishing timelines. I was thinking about survival. About telling the stories that had lived in my body, unspoken, for too long.
I needed to write what I was too afraid to say.
To name the wounds I had inherited and the ones I had experienced.
To stop performing strength and finally allow myself to be seen.
And somewhere in that process… the writing stopped being just for me.
It became a map. A mirror. A message for everyone holding pain in silence.
Writing While Healing
No one really prepares you for what it means to write about your trauma while you’re still healing it.
There were moments I wanted to quit.
Moments when old memories resurfaced like tidal waves.
Moments when I questioned if I was ready—or worthy—to share this story.
But I kept writing because I knew:
Our silence protects our pain, but it never sets us free.
This book isn’t polished perfection—it’s soul truth.
It’s messy. Tender. Fierce.
It’s the version of me that rose out of grief, rage, confusion, and ancestral remembrance.
Why It Had to Be Written
Because too many of us are still bleeding silently.
Because “strong” women are crumbling behind closed doors.
Because generational trauma doesn’t heal through denial—it heals through truth and choice.
Because our communities deserve language for what’s been passed down and permission to do things differently.
Reclaiming the Unspoken is part memoir, part healing guide, part soul retrieval. It’s for:
The cycle-breakers and the overachievers
The daughters of silence and the sons of survival
The spiritual seekers who are also healing their inner child
The ones tired of holding it all together
The Moment It Became Bigger Than Me
The moment someone told me,
“I felt seen for the first time reading your words…"
That’s when I knew: this book was no longer mine.
It belonged to the people.
To the women, men, and beings reclaiming their power, one page at a time.
